Learning Log - Due Dec 8

Monday Nov. 24 - I made cinnamon rolls again so I could make them with my sister who is visiting from college! It was fun and they are so yummy! We did lots of measuring while we cooked. We also did another math lesson about estimating large numbers.



Tues. - I went ice skating with my mom and older sister. It was really fun and I just wanted to hold their hands the whole time, but I did skate around once without holding their hands. I also did a math review, and had my piano lessons. I did a really good job on my songs!


Wed. - I raked another yard today and earned $20.



Thanksgiving break - We drove to Cedar City and had Thanksgiving with grandparents and family. My favorite thanksgiving food is my grandparents homemade stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy! I had fun with my cousins.

We went ATV riding at Sand Hollow with my uncle Jason. It was crazy and there were lots of obstacles and lots of fast parts. We got to see what they call the Flintstone house. It was a really cool little cave. There were lots of little caves to play in.

Mon. Dec. 1 - Today we did exercises in our basement with glow sticks, then read from the book "The Lemonade War", and did a math lesson. In the evening we decorated our Christmas tree. It looks really good. I've decided I am going to sleep on the couch by the tree until Christmas.

Tues. - I had my piano lesson and I worked on math and reading. I had a doctor appointment to do a screening for autism. I might have mild autism. (We are interested in resources that may be offered by the school district we are in, by the way).  In the evening we watched the Nativity movie with the family.

Wed. - I learned how to make paper snowflakes two different ways and we decorated our house. I also did more math lesson.

Thurs. -In the evening our family went to my dad's work Christmas Party. The food was great and there were foam gingerbread houses we built and these props to take pictures.



Fri. -We did science today. I learned about the Platypus. They are a pretty crazy animal. Tonight was our church ward's Christmas Party. I was part of the children's choir. We played bells and sang Christmas music.

Monday - For Math we learned about rounding numbers to the nearest million and cleaned up my room. My brother is moving his room downstairs, so I have the room all to myself. We are going to design what my room can be like! I want glow in the dark stars on my ceiling! We forgot about the making muffins zoom call, but mom and I still made muffins. They were yummy! Tuesday - Today we had our Brain Balance zoom call, and did another math assignment. We fed my pet Praying Mantis and learned that the mealworms need water to stay alive too, by cutting up fruit and giving to them. We also found a spider eating a butterfly! Wednesday - Today we went to a playgroup, but only a couple young kids were there. But mom and I practiced jump rope. We also did a math assignment. We also read a chapter in Pollyanna about hanging crystals in the window and watching them scatter rainbows. So we did that too. Pollyanna said we can all be like prisms by spreading joy. Learning Log 8 - Due Oct 13, 2025

 October 6-12 Monday: I practiced handwriting, did my brain balance exercises, and we worked on painting my room! Tuesday: I did more handwriting practice, and had my brain balance zoom call with my trainer. Wednesday: We went on a field trip to Bridal Veil Falls and a park nearby. We walked and listened to and identified different birds. We came to some camp sites and we pretended we were detectives learning about what the people did or ate at their camp. It was surprising how people left clues behind. We talked about leaving no trace. We also went to KFC and we met a man who worked there with disabilities. He talked to us kind of different, but we were nice to him and he kept wanting to do "pound it" knuckles. We talked a lot about showing kindness to people who are different. Learning Log - Due Sep 15, 2025

Monday: Brain balance exercises, math and reading. Tuesday: We did Brain Balance exercises, art on the Ipad and on physical paper with oil pastels. We did a Math review and learned about Onomatopoeias.  Wednesday: Today we visited my mom's friend and her kids. We do art with them once a month. Today we learned about contrasting colors and did pixel art and made a magazine collage out of ripped up magazines. It was fun and silly. We also did Math and I took a nap! Later my Lego Spike kit came in the mail. I'm excited to learn how to use it. Thursday: It was a hard day. My hamster, Windy, died. We had a funeral for her and and a Praying Mantis was in attendance. He became my new pet. I named him Sunny. We got some mealworms and roaches to feed him. I still miss Windy, but I'm happy that Sunny brightened my day. We watched some videos about how to care for a Praying Mantis. Friday: Today I participated in a Flex Friday on Zoom.
